Visa Information

All foreigners are required to have a valid visa to enter the Russian Federation – you may not purchase visas at the destination airport. Requirements for visas depend on your current citizenship/residence.

Contact the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country to learn more about specific visa requirements and to obtain an application.

A number of travel agencies will organize your application packet and advise you on any missing information. Contact your personal travel agent for more information.

Business or Tourist Visa?

A tourist visa is best suited for short visits with definite arrival and departure dates whereas a business visa gives travelers more flexibility. However, the application for the business visa is very involved and requires a lot of additional paperwork.

Consult your travel agent/advisor for the visa type that best fits your travel plan.
